
For those who may not know, Law No. 14,831/24 came into force on March 27, establishing the “Mental Health Promoting Company Certificate.” This certificate recognizes companies that meet the requirements for promoting mental health and well-being as set forth by the law.
Companies interested in obtaining this certification must develop actions and policies based on the following guidelines:
Mental Health Promotion: Implementing mental health programs; offering support resources; conducting awareness campaigns and training; leadership training; and specific sessions on topics of interest to employees, in addition to combating discrimination and harassment.
Employee Well-being: Promoting a safe and healthy work environment; encouraging work-life balance; promoting physical activity, leisure, healthy eating, positive interactions, and integrative communication.
Transparency and Accountability: Regularly disclosing mental health and well-being actions across company communication channels; establishing suggestion and evaluation channels for employees; and performing periodic analysis of implemented actions.
